We met in the Lord Mayor of Westminster's parlour, at a fund raising event for St Augustine's Church. You were there because you love beautiful buildings and the area, I because I was Head Teacher of the Primary school. You contrived an introduction and we chatted. After the launch you hung about outside the building pretending to put on your cycling clips and waiting for me to come out - you said I took ages! When I arrived beside you you asked me to go to dinner with you, in a mad moment I said yes - I thought I'd surely be ok with someone I met under such circumstances. You coaxed the waiter to get the chef to make us a mushroom risotto with freshly foraged mushrooms that were intended for starters. The mushrooms looked evil to me but you persuaded me they were good to eat.
